ADMINS

Cinemavixion Review

Aaron Goodmiller's 'Admins' plunges into the mundane yet often absurd world of IT support, offering a darkly comedic look at the daily grind. The film centers on Dan, a system administrator whose off-day is disrupted by a cascade of technical crises and the looming threat of layoffs. This existential dread propels Dan and his colleague Randy into a series of ethically dubious actions, blurring the lines between professional responsibility and personal desperation. Jay Saunders and Doug Henderson deliver grounded performances as the titular admins, capturing the peculiar camaraderie and underlying anxieties of their characters. While the narrative navigates the tedious aspects of office politics and system failures, it ultimately serves as a sharp, albeit niche, commentary on job security and the compromises individuals make in the face of corporate uncertainty. The film's humor, often derived from the characters' deadpan reactions to escalating chaos, makes for a surprisingly engaging, if unconventional, viewing experience.
