Alex Merkin's 2009 thriller, "Across the Hall," plunges into the dark heart of jealousy and betrayal with a taut, claustrophobic narrative. Starring Mike Vogel as the tormented Terry, the film masterfully builds suspense as Terry, convinced of his fiancée June's infidelity, barricades himself in a hotel room opposite the supposed rendezvous.
