ABOVE US LIVES EVIL

Cinemavixion Review

Jason Mills' "Above Us Lives Evil" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative of grief and supernatural terror. The film centers on a family seeking solace in a secluded country home, hoping to escape the haunting memory of a child's accidental death. However, their new beginning is soon overshadowed by a far more sinister presence lurking within the house's confines. The attic, a space often associated with forgotten things, becomes the nexus of an ancient evil that preys on the family's deepest anxieties and unresolved guilt. Mills crafts a tense atmosphere, skillfully blending psychological drama with classic horror tropes. The performances, particularly from Greg Russell Tiderington, Marina Seretis, and Leon Bourikos, navigate the characters' descent into fear with palpable intensity. It's a compelling exploration of how trauma can manifest, both internally and externally, as an inescapable force.
