ABOVE GROUND

Cinemavixion Review

Thomas Rennier's "Above Ground" plunges viewers into a murky underworld of illegal diet pills and desperate measures. The film masterfully weaves a narrative of suspense, centering on Thad Sitter, a man caught between his complicity and a dangerous truth. Clayne Crawford delivers a compelling performance as Thad, a character grappling with moral ambiguity as he navigates the treacherous landscape shaped by his boss, Gayle Benson. MJ Brackin shines as the determined ex-wife, Julie, whose pursuit of answers inadvertently ignites further peril. The supporting cast, including Robert Leeshock and Ken Hudson Campbell, adds depth to this crime thriller. "Above Ground" is a taut exploration of consequence and loyalty, offering a gripping cinematic experience that keeps audiences guessing until the final frame.
