ABOUT HOPE

Cinemavixion Review

In "About Hope," director David D. Dietrich crafts a charming romantic comedy that explores the often-winding path to true love. The film, released in 2020, stars Justin Ray as Thomas McKenzie, a man on a perpetual quest for his ideal partner. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Hope Sanchez (portrayed by Christine Juarbe), a resilient single mother focused on building her business. What begins as a budding friendship evolves into a profound exploration of self-discovery, revealing that the love we seek externally may not always be the love that truly fulfills us. With a runtime of 91 minutes, the movie offers a lighthearted yet insightful narrative, complemented by a supporting cast including Claire Bermingham. Despite a modest box office performance of $10,814, "About Hope" delivers a heartwarming message on finding contentment within oneself and in genuine connection.
