ABOUT HOPE

Cinemavixion Review

David D. Dietrich's 'About Hope' offers a thoughtful exploration of romantic pursuits and self-discovery. The film centers on Thomas McKenzie, a man on a lifelong quest for an idealized partner. His journey takes an intriguing turn when he encounters two women who challenge his preconceived notions of love. The narrative skillfully navigates the complexities of connection, suggesting that the love we often seek may not be the love that ultimately fulfills us. Justin Ray and Christine Juarbe deliver performances that capture the vulnerability and hope inherent in their characters' searches. With a runtime of 91 minutes and a modest box office take, 'About Hope' stands as an intimate character study, prompting viewers to reflect on their own paths to genuine connection and emotional wholeness.
