ABE & BRUNO

Cinemavixion Review

Abe & Bruno offers a charmingly unconventional take on friendship, blending heartwarming sincerity with moments of delightful absurdity. The narrative centers on the profound bond between Abe and his gorilla companion, Bruno, a relationship tested when Abe faces a health crisis. Bruno's subsequent venture into town, a spectacle of a 500-pound silverback seeking help, provides both comedic and dramatic tension. Director Henri Charr navigates this delicate balance with a light touch, crafting a story that champions loyalty and sacrifice. While the film may not boast extensive accolades, its genuine emotional core and the unique premise of interspecies camaraderie make it a noteworthy watch for those seeking a film that celebrates the extraordinary depths of friendship in unexpected places.
