ABANDONED DEAD

Cinemavixion Review

Mark W. Curran's 'Abandoned Dead' plunges viewers into a chilling descent into a derelict medical clinic, where a lone security guard, Rachel, confronts not only her own phobias but a terrifying supernatural presence. The film masterfully builds suspense, utilizing the claustrophobic setting to amplify the protagonist's isolation and growing dread. Ivan Adame, Hannah Johnson, and Sarah Nicklin deliver commendable performances, grounding the supernatural horror in a palpable sense of human vulnerability. While the narrative treads familiar ground in the haunted location subgenre, Curran's direction imbues it with a distinct atmosphere of decay and despair. The tight runtime ensures a relentless pace, making this a potent, if unsettling, watch for fans of atmospheric horror seeking a concise scare.
