A VINEYARD ROMANCE

Cinemavixion Review

Lucie Guest's "A Vineyard Romance" offers a charming, albeit familiar, foray into the world of second chances and picturesque settings. Starring Rebecca Olson as Samantha Hart, a sharp magazine writer dispatched to her hometown to cover the burgeoning wedding industry at Hawthorne Vineyards, the film quickly introduces a compelling conflict. Samantha's assignment unexpectedly brings her face-to-face with her past in the form of her ex-lover, played with understated charisma by Marcus Rosner, who not only owns the vineyard but is also on the cusp of his own wedding. The narrative, while leaning into established romantic comedy tropes, is elevated by the chemistry between its leads and the idyllic backdrop of the vineyard. Guest, who also co-wrote the script, crafts moments of genuine emotional resonance amidst the predictable beats, making "A Vineyard Romance" a pleasant watch for fans of the genre. While it may not reinvent the wheel, the film delivers a satisfyingly sweet story about rediscovering love in the most unexpected circumstances.
