Cinemavixion Review
Barbara Rubin's "Christmas on Earth" was a singular event in 1964, heralding a potent new voice within New York City's burgeoning underground film landscape. Dubbed a 'female Zelig of the '60s,' Rubin's influence extended far beyond the cinematic, famously bridging connections between iconic figures like Andy Warhol and Lou Reed, and even introducing Bob Dylan to the esoteric world of Kabbalah. Her abrupt disappearance, however, left behind a legacy shrouded in mystery, making her story as compelling as the avant-garde work she produced.
