Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a fascinating glimpse into a unique construction method, following Milt and Judi Taylor's ambitious project to build a traditional floating home on logs. The narrative skillfully contrasts old-world techniques with modern challenges, highlighting the ingenuity required to adapt a centuries-old principle to contemporary living. Rick Maddams's design showcases the enduring viability of timber construction, promising longevity for the structure. However, the episode doesn't shy away from the inherent difficulties, presenting the intriguing paradox of a home's weight causing it to sink as it's built upon its buoyant foundation. It's a compelling exploration of architectural heritage and the practical hurdles of innovative home-building.
