A TALE OF FIVE CITIES

Cinemavixion Review

This 1951 drama, 'A Tale of Five Cities,' directed by Romolo Marcellini, presents a poignant narrative of a British soldier inadvertently repatriated to the United States due to his adopted American accent during World War II. Suffering from amnesia, he embarks on a journey across Europe with his American foster family, seeking the women who might hold the key to his lost memories. The film delves into themes of identity, memory, and the search for belonging amidst the fragmented landscape of post-war Europe. Starring Bonar Colleano, Lana Morris, and Barbara Kelly, the film offers a compelling exploration of a man adrift, piecing together his past one encounter at a time.
