A SUNDAY KIND OF LOVE

Cinemavixion Review

Geordie Sabbagh's 2016 Canadian drama, 'A Sunday Kind Of Love,' offers a poignant exploration of mortality and ambition through the eyes of a struggling writer. The film, which garnered two wins and a nomination, delves into a unique premise where the protagonist finds himself falling for death itself. This existential romance forces a critical examination of his dreams and their ultimate cost, questioning whether artistic success is worth the ultimate sacrifice. While the film's IMDb rating of 4.8/10 suggests a mixed reception, its compelling narrative and the intriguing central conceit, featuring performances by Dylan Taylor, Melanie Scrofano, and Meghan Heffern, make it a noteworthy entry for those drawn to introspective and fantastical storytelling.
