A SHIP OF HUMAN SKIN

Cinemavixion Review

Richard Bailey's "A Ship of Human Skin" (2019) is a stark and unsettling exploration of rural mysticism and brutal crime. The film plunges into the fringes of society, following two women on a quest for revelation that takes a dark turn. As one protagonist succumbs to a vision, leading to a violent act, the narrative delves into the legend of her subsequent imprisonment and rumored levitation. While the film garnered one award and a 5.4 rating on IMDb, its chilling atmosphere and descent into the macabre offer a compelling, albeit disturbing, cinematic experience that probes the depths of human psyche and folklore.
