Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a captivating glimpse into the meticulous restoration of a rare Sea Hurricane, the sole surviving model out of 700 converted during World War II. The narrative unfolds over a remarkable nine-year, nine-month, and nine-day restoration period, undertaken by a dedicated volunteer team at the Imperial War Museum. Through a blend of seldom-seen WWII archive footage and insightful interviews with pilots who commanded the RAF's prolific fighter during the Battle of Britain, the film vividly chronicles the challenges and triumphs of bringing this historic aircraft back to flight. Produced in association with the Imperial War Museum, the series also delves into the history and development of the Messerschmitt Bf109, presenting a dual portrait of two pivotal WWII aircraft. The compelling air-to-air sequences and expert commentary from historians and conservationists make this a valuable historical document for aviation enthusiasts.
