A NUMBERS GAME

Cinemavixion Review

James Van Alden's "A Numbers Game" presents a stark, if somewhat unpolished, look at the high-stakes world of sales, where closing a deal is paramount. The film centers on Neal, a charismatic protagonist whose philosophy dictates that success is merely a matter of persistence – a true 'numbers game'. While the narrative may tread familiar ground, the film's strength lies in its portrayal of the relentless pressure and moral ambiguities faced by those in the business of persuasion. The performances, particularly from Madison Walls and the veteran Ken Howard, anchor the film, lending a much-needed gravitas to the proceedings. Despite its modest production values and a runtime that emphasizes its indie spirit, "A Numbers Game" offers a compelling, albeit occasionally bleak, exploration of ambition and the transactional nature of modern commerce.
