A MURDER OF INNOCENCE

Cinemavixion Review

Shawn Justice's "A Murder of Innocence" offers a poignant, albeit somber, exploration of faith and community resilience in the face of unspeakable tragedy. Based on a true story, the film meticulously reconstructs the disarray that grips a small town following a brutal double homicide. The narrative wisely centers not just on the procedural hunt for a killer, but on the profound emotional and spiritual toll exacted upon the residents, particularly through the experiences of the local pastor and his wife. Rachel MacMillan and Frank Chiesurin deliver grounded performances, anchoring the film with a palpable sense of vulnerability and conviction. While the external data notes a modest IMDb rating, the film's strength lies in its earnest portrayal of healing and the enduring power of faith to navigate fear and uncertainty, making it a compelling watch for those interested in character-driven dramas.
