A MISFORTUNE HAS NEVER BEEN SO GOOD - STRAWBERRY SMELL

Cinemavixion Review

While "A Misfortune Has Never Been So Good - Strawberry Smell" presents a classic tale of two individuals from different walks of life finding unexpected connection, its narrative, as presented, leans heavily on familiar tropes. The story follows Asli, a determined young woman struggling with financial hardship to pursue her education, and Burak, a scion of wealth who appears to be evading responsibility. Their initial encounter, marked by a ruined birthday cake and a damaged car, sets a tone of comedic misfortune that promises to drive their burgeoning relationship. The introduction of contrasting characters like the responsible Volkan and the supportive Gonca suggests a well-rounded ensemble cast aimed at exploring themes of social class, personal growth, and the serendipitous nature of love. The film appears poised to deliver a charming, albeit predictable, romantic comedy, relying on the chemistry between its leads and the inherent drama of their differing circumstances to engage the audience.
