A MAGIC PUPPY

Cinemavixion Review

David DeCoteau's 'A Magic Puppy' presents a peculiar premise: a young boy's magical mishap transforms his mother's boyfriend into a canine companion. While the setup hints at a potentially whimsical or even cautionary tale, the execution, as suggested by the limited available information, appears to lean into a more straightforward, perhaps even B-movie, sensibility. The film features a cast including Kristine DeBell, Eric Roberts, and Susan Olsen, names that have graced various genre pictures over the years. The narrative's central conceit offers a unique, albeit unusual, premise for exploring themes of family dynamics and unintended consequences, making it a curious watch for those drawn to unconventional storytelling.
