A LIFE LIVED

Cinemavixion Review

Riley Wood's "A Life Lived" offers a unique and poignant perspective on human connection, tracing the journey of a single dollar bill through a tapestry of diverse lives. Released in 2016, this drama, starring Denise Richards, Jennifer Taylor, and Marshall Manesh, masterfully weaves together vignettes that highlight the interconnectedness of individuals, their struggles, and moments of unexpected kindness. The narrative device of following the dollar bill—from a child's allowance to a waitress's life-changing tip—provides a compelling throughline, revealing the profound impact seemingly small transactions can have. While the film may not have garnered widespread awards, its intimate portrayal of everyday experiences and its subtle exploration of empathy make it a quietly moving cinematic endeavor worth discovering.
