A KARATE CHRISTMAS MIRACLE

Cinemavixion Review

In 'A Karate Christmas Miracle,' director Julie Kimmel crafts a poignant, albeit somewhat uneven, family drama centered on the enduring hope of a young boy. Ten-year-old Jesse (played with earnest conviction) grapples with the absence of his father, who vanished on Christmas Day the previous year. Convinced that a list of specific tasks, including achieving a karate black belt, will bring his father back, Jesse embarks on a determined quest. The film, released in 2019, attempts to blend themes of grief, faith, and the extraordinary power of belief. While the narrative's premise is heartwarming, its execution, particularly given the reported IMDb rating of 2.0, suggests a struggle to fully realize its emotional potential. The inclusion of Eric Roberts in the local data hints at a potentially star-studded cast, though the external data lists Mario Del Vecchio and Julie McCullough in prominent roles. Regardless, the film offers a unique holiday tale that explores how love and memory can manifest in unexpected ways, even amidst profound loss.
