A HORSE FOR DANNY

Cinemavixion Review

Lauded for its heartwarming narrative, "A Horse for Danny" offers a compelling glimpse into the world of horse racing through the eyes of a precocious young girl. Leelee Sobieski delivers a standout performance as Danny, a sharp and intuitive protagonist who understands the intricate dynamics of the racetrack better than most adults. The film masterfully balances the excitement of the races with the underlying themes of ambition, integrity, and the challenges faced by those striving for success in a competitive environment. Director Dick Lowry crafts a story that is both engaging and emotionally resonant, supported by a solid cast that brings the colorful characters of the racing circuit to life. While perhaps not a blockbuster, this family-friendly drama provides a thoroughly enjoyable and insightful viewing experience, celebrating the bond between a determined girl and her unwavering belief in a champion horse.
