A GOOD WOMAN IS HARD TO FIND

Cinemavixion Review

Abner Pastoll's "A Good Woman Is Hard to Find" is a taut and gripping thriller that elevates a familiar premise with a fierce performance from Sarah Bolger. Bolger stars as a young mother, recently widowed and struggling to protect her children. When the truth behind her husband's murder begins to surface, she finds herself in a desperate fight for survival against dangerous intruders. The film masterfully builds tension, blending elements of home invasion horror with a compelling character study. Bolger's portrayal is the undeniable anchor, conveying a raw vulnerability that gradually transforms into steely resolve. Critics have lauded the film, with Rotten Tomatoes awarding it a strong 92% and Metacritic noting a score of 65/100, reflecting its critical acclaim. While specific box office figures are unavailable, the film's 11 wins and 2 nominations at various festivals underscore its impact. "A Good Woman Is Hard to Find" is a potent reminder of maternal strength in the face of unimaginable adversity, a must-watch for fans of intense psychological thrillers.
