A FRIEND FROM SPACE

Cinemavixion Review

"A Friend from Space" presents a charming, albeit familiar, premise: a shy boy finds an extraordinary escape through a robotic persona. Alex Daniels, taking on the titular role, navigates the dual challenges of embodying both the introverted child and the confident, super-powered android. The narrative promises a classic underdog story, where newfound abilities are tested against a formidable extraterrestrial threat. While the film's direct-to-video origins might suggest a smaller scale, the core concept of transformation and courage against overwhelming odds offers a potential for engaging, family-friendly adventure. The visual spectacle of a "giant alien" and the boy's burgeoning superpowers are central to the film's appeal, inviting viewers to explore themes of identity and bravery through a science-fiction lens.
