Ennio Girolami shines in "A Few Dollars for Django," a taut 1966 Spaghetti Western directed by León Klimovsky. The film plunges viewers into the dusty plains of Montana, where bounty hunter Regan (Anthony Steffen) seeks not just outlaws but a semblance of peace. His quest, however, becomes entangled in a brutal range war between desperate farmers and powerful cattlemen. Steffen delivers a compelling performance as a man caught between his desire for a quiet life and the violent realities of the frontier. The narrative expertly weaves themes of justice, greed, and the harshness of settling untamed lands. While the plot might echo familiar Western tropes, the execution, bolstered by a strong supporting cast including Gloria Osuna, offers a satisfying and gritty cinematic experience that remains a worthy entry in the genre.
