A FATHER FOR BRITTANY

Cinemavixion Review

"A Father for Brittany" offers a poignant exploration of love, loss, and the unwavering determination of a father's bond. The narrative centers on Keith Lussier, whose dream of parenthood is tragically tested when his wife, Kim, succumbs to cancer shortly after they adopt Brittany. The film masterfully portrays Keith's subsequent solitary fight against adoption agency clauses and societal skepticism to secure his rights as Brittany's father. Andrew McCarthy delivers a compelling performance as Keith, embodying the character's grief and resilience. Supported by strong performances from Michael Learned and Teri Polo, the film navigates the complexities of family and the lengths one will go to protect it. Directed by Alan Metzger, this drama, despite its somber themes, ultimately serves as a testament to the enduring power of paternal love and the courage required to uphold it against formidable odds.
