A FATHER AND A SON

Cinemavixion Review

"A Father and a Son" presents a poignant and heart-wrenching narrative centered on the resilience of a young child. The film chronicles the arduous journey of Abdu, a six-year-old boy who, along with his family, seeks a more promising future by migrating from Ghana to Turkey. The stark realities of their new environment soon intrude upon their hopes when Abdu's mother, Akua, departs, leaving him and his father, Adika, to navigate an uncertain existence. Adika's struggle to provide, symbolized by his humble watch stall, underscores the themes of survival and perseverance against overwhelming odds. Through Abdu's innocent yet perceptive eyes, the film offers a touching exploration of abandonment and the indomitable spirit of a child facing profound adversity. It is a powerful testament to the enduring strength found in the most challenging circumstances.
