A DOG AND PONY SHOW

Cinemavixion Review

In "A Dog and Pony Show," director Demetrius Navarro crafts a charming family comedy that, despite its modest runtime, delivers a heartwarming tale of unlikely friendship. Released in 2018, the film stars Mae Whitman, Ralph Macchio, and Mira Sorvino in a story centered on a talented performing dog left behind by a traveling carnival. Adopted by a lonely farm boy, the prized pooch soon finds himself the target of a pair of bumbling thieves from a rival circus, setting the stage for a series of lighthearted capers. While the film may not break new ground in the genre, its earnest performances and straightforward narrative make it an enjoyable watch for younger audiences and families seeking a gentle, feel-good cinematic experience.
