A DEMON FOR TROUBLE

Cinemavixion Review

Robert F. Hill's 1934 Western, "A Demon for Trouble," offers a brisk and engaging narrative anchored by a compelling performance from Bob Steele as Bob Worth. The film plunges Worth into a treacherous situation, falsely accused of murder after stumbling upon a deadly scheme orchestrated by the villainous Dyer. Steele navigates this predicament with a blend of grit and resourcefulness, ably supported by Don Alvarado as the intriguing Mexican outlaw Golinda. The plot, centered on a clever plan to trap the antagonist, unfolds with a satisfying pace, characteristic of the era's B-westerns. While lacking major accolades, the film's straightforward storytelling and solid performances make it a worthwhile watch for fans of classic Western cinema seeking a straightforward tale of justice and redemption.
