A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE MUSICAL

Cinemavixion Review

This televised musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic tale, "A Christmas Carol: The Musical," offers a vibrant rendition of Ebenezer Scrooge's transformative Christmas Eve. Anchored by a compelling performance from Kelsey Grammer as the curmudgeonly Scrooge, the production successfully captures the spirit of the holiday and the profound message of redemption. The supporting cast, including Jesse L. Martin and Jane Krakowski, brings energy and warmth to their roles, enhancing the musical numbers and dramatic moments. Directed by Arthur Allan Seidelman, this 2004 film, while perhaps not reaching the heights of some stage productions, provides a solid and heartwarming viewing experience. It is a worthy addition to the pantheon of "A Christmas Carol" adaptations, particularly for fans of musical theater.
