A BEATLE IN BENTON, ILLINOIS: 60TH ANINERSARY EDITION

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into a lesser-known chapter of George Harrison's life, exploring his personal visit to Benton, Illinois, in the fall of 1963. Predating the Beatlemania that would soon engulf America, this trip offered Harrison a glimpse into American life through his sister Louise's home. The film, presented here in a 60th Anniversary Edition, sheds light on the personal connections that might have influenced the young musician beyond the roar of the crowds and the intensity of the recording studio. It's a fascinating look at the man behind the legend, offering a quiet counterpoint to the explosive global phenomenon the Beatles would soon become.
