90 FEET FROM HOME

Cinemavixion Review

Brett Bentman's '90 Feet From Home' delves into the harrowing aftermath of an abusive childhood, anchored by a compelling narrative of return and confrontation. The film traces Scott's journey, a once-promising baseball talent, as he revisits the home that bred his trauma after a 15-year absence. While the local data highlights an alcoholic father, the external data suggests a stepfather, a subtle divergence that doesn't detract from the core theme of familial trauma. The ensemble cast, featuring recognizable faces like Eric Roberts and Dean Cain, alongside wrestling legend Shawn Michaels, brings a grounded intensity to the dramatic proceedings. '90 Feet From Home' offers a raw, unflinching look at the long shadow cast by abuse and the difficult path toward reconciliation or reckoning. Its exploration of resilience and the enduring impact of one's formative years makes it a noteworthy, albeit challenging, watch.
