8 ASSASSINS

Cinemavixion Review

Said C. Naciri's "8 Assassins" delivers a potent blend of spaghetti western tropes and post-apocalyptic grit, set against the stark beauty of a Moroccan desert landscape. The narrative follows a bank robber betrayed by his crew, seeking refuge in a village subjugated by mercenaries. This premise quickly evolves into an action-packed revenge saga, elevated by intense fight choreography and a unique cultural perspective rarely seen in the genre. Affif Ben Badra's presence adds a layer of seasoned action prowess, complementing the film's ambitious fusion of Western elements with a distinctly Arab sensibility. While the IMDb rating suggests a mixed reception, the film's bold stylistic choices and commitment to its vision make it a compelling watch for fans of unconventional action cinema.
