7 BELOW

Cinemavixion Review

Kevin Carraway's 2012 horror offering, "7 Below," plunges viewers into a chilling scenario where a group of disparate strangers finds themselves seeking refuge from a brutal storm in an isolated, ominous house. The premise, as outlined by both its YouTube description and the more detailed OMDb entry, sets a classic haunted house narrative in motion. Led by a cast including Val Kilmer and Ving Rhames, the film promises a descent into terror as the stranded visitors discover the property is the site of a century-old family massacre. The spectral remnants of this tragedy begin to prey upon the newcomers, weaving a narrative that connects their present plight to the house's gruesome past. While the film garnered a modest IMDb rating of 3.1, it attempts to deliver on the atmospheric dread and supernatural scares inherent in its setup, making it a potential, albeit flawed, watch for fans of the genre seeking a straightforward ghost story.
