587: THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY

Cinemavixion Review

Dan T. Hall's "587: The Great Train Robbery" is a charming adventure that captures the spirit of youthful ingenuity. The film excels in its portrayal of Alex and Molly's ambitious plan to save a magnificent steam locomotive from the scrapyard, a mission bolstered by the guidance of a seasoned engineer and the collective effort of the neighborhood's children. While the narrative leans into a heartwarming, family-friendly tone, it's the underlying theme of preservation and passion for a bygone era that truly resonates. The performances, particularly from the young leads, imbue the story with an infectious energy. Though not a blockbuster, this film is a delightful ode to community, resourcefulness, and the enduring magic of vintage machinery, making it a worthy watch for those who appreciate earnest storytelling.
