Cinemavixion Review

Dan Napoli's "50 Summers | The Evolution of Minor League Baseball" offers a compelling narrative chronicling the transformation of the sport's minor leagues over five decades. Through the lens of the Omaha franchise, the documentary skillfully navigates the team's enduring relationship with the KC Royals, the longest-standing affiliation in Triple-A baseball. The film is enriched by a diverse cast, including notable figures like Rob Riggle and Warren Buffet, alongside baseball legends such as George Brett and Alex Gordon. Their contributions, alongside insights from team executives like Martie Cordaro and Jesse Cuevas, paint a vivid picture of the league's resilience and adaptation. "50 Summers" is more than just a sports documentary; it's a historical exploration of community, perseverance, and the enduring spirit of baseball.
