4TH AND GOAL

Cinemavixion Review

Nina Gilden Seavey's "4th and Goal" offers an intimate and expansive look at the arduous journey of six young athletes striving for the NFL. Spanning six years, the documentary masterfully captures their progression from junior college to top-tier collegiate programs and ultimately, the precipice of professional football. Beyond the gridiron, the film transcends the typical sports narrative, delving into profound themes of brotherhood, familial bonds, and the often harsh realities faced by young men navigating the complex path to adulthood. The dedication to following these individuals over an extended period allows for a deeply resonant portrayal of their struggles and triumphs, making "4th and Goal" a compelling study of ambition, resilience, and the human spirit both on and off the field.
