3 HIKERS

Cinemavixion Review

Natalie Avital's '3 Hikers' presents a harrowing account of three American hikers – Sarah Shourd, Shane Bauer, and Joshua Fattal – who found themselves ensnared by the Iranian government, becoming unwitting political prisoners. The film delves into the psychological and emotional toll of their captivity, exploring themes of resilience, hope, and the arbitrary nature of political conflict. While the film's premise is undeniably gripping, its execution offers a stark and unflinching look at the human cost of international tensions. The narrative focuses intently on the personal ordeal, providing a tense and often claustrophobic viewing experience that highlights the fragility of freedom and the enduring strength of the human spirit in the face of extreme adversity.
