2012 ICE AGE + 2012 DOOMSDAY

Cinemavixion Review

This double feature presents two distinct visions of impending global catastrophe. The first, '2012 Ice Age,' plunges viewers into a chilling, immediate threat as a volcanic eruption unleashes a super glacier, transforming North America into a frozen wasteland. The narrative centers on a desperate fight for survival against the relentless cold, a man's primal urge to protect his family against the encroaching ice. The second film, '2012 Doomsday,' shifts focus to a more spiritual and cosmic reckoning, drawing parallels between Mayan prophecy and scientific warnings of a polar shift. As the world braces for the end, four strangers converge on an ancient temple, seeking meaning in the face of an apocalyptic countdown. While tonally different, both films tap into primal fears of natural disaster and the end of the world, offering distinct, albeit somber, cinematic experiences.
