2012 DOOMSDAY + 2012 ICE AGE

Cinemavixion Review

This compilation presents two distinct apocalyptic visions, "2012 Doomsday" and "2012 Ice Age." The former plunges viewers into a spiritual quest amidst a prophesied Mayan end-of-days, weaving themes of faith and global catastrophe as four strangers navigate a perilous journey to a Mexican temple. It contrasts the Mayan calendar's end with scientific predictions of a polar shift, setting a stage for existential dread. "2012 Ice Age" offers a more visceral, environmental threat. A catastrophic volcanic eruption in Iceland triggers a rapid glacial advance, threatening to engulf North America in an instant freeze. The narrative centers on a desperate family man's struggle for survival against the relentless, encroaching ice. While both films tap into the pervasive anxieties surrounding the 2012 phenomenon, they explore different facets of potential destruction, one focusing on cosmic or divine timing, the other on immediate, earth-shattering natural disaster.
