200MPH

Cinemavixion Review

Cole S. McKay's 2011 film '200mph' plunges into the visceral world of underground street racing, where vengeance fuels a young man's descent. Jaz Martin stars as Rick Merchant, a driver whose life is irrevocably altered when his idol, Tommy Nash, is killed by a drug dealer, Darren Thomas, in a fatal street race. Consumed by grief and a burning desire for retribution, Rick transforms his humble 1978 Datsun 280Z into a high-speed weapon. With the crucial assistance of a skilled mechanic, played by Hennely Jimenez, Rick pushes the limits of automotive engineering to achieve maximum velocity, aiming to confront the very forces that shattered his world. The film explores themes of loss, determination, and the dangerous allure of speed.
