Cinemavixion Review

“2 Weeks in Lagos” plunges viewers into a compelling narrative of love and ambition set against the vibrant backdrop of Nigeria's bustling capital. Director Kathryn Fasegha masterfully weaves a tale of romance between Ejikeme, an investment banker returning from the US, and Lola. Their budding relationship faces immense pressure from Ejikeme's mother, whose political aspirations for her husband’s presidency involve an arranged marriage for her son. The film delves into the complexities of family loyalty, political maneuvering, and the clash between tradition and modernity. With strong performances from Toyin Abraham, Bambo Adebowale, and Lawal Aramide, the movie captures the essence of Lagos life, from its traffic-snarled streets to its rich cultural tapestry. It’s a story that balances heartfelt romance with the high stakes of political power, offering an engaging and thought-provoking cinematic experience.
