2 LAVA 2 LANTULA

Cinemavixion Review

This cinematic offering, '2 Lava 2 Lantula!', plunges viewers into a chaotic Florida overrun by a fresh brood of fiery, lava-spewing arachnids. The plot, set in motion by an unsettling proliferation of sinkholes, awakens these prehistoric beasts, turning the sunny state into a scene of fiery destruction. The narrative gains a personal stake when Colton West, an A-list movie star portrayed by Steve Guttenberg, abandons his blockbuster set to rescue his step-daughter, Raya, played by Michele Weaver, who finds herself amidst the escalating mayhem. Aided by his loyal assistant Kyle and his quick-witted best friend Marty, voiced by the inimitable Michael Winslow, West embarks on a race against time. Their mission: to save Florida's residents from the escalating threat and confront the colossal matriarch of the lava-spewing horde. While the film may not boast critical acclaim, it delivers a B-movie spectacle that leans into its absurd premise with a certain gusto, offering a blend of action and creature-feature thrills for those seeking a lighthearted, if somewhat outlandish, cinematic escape.
