Cinemavixion Review

In 1918, as the world was engulfed by the Great War, a more insidious enemy emerged: the Spanish Flu. This documentary compellingly reconstructs the devastating impact of this pandemic, which claimed an estimated 50 million lives globally, far exceeding the casualties of the war itself. Through personal accounts and an examination of critical decisions made during that tumultuous period, the film sheds light on how a mutated avian influenza virus rapidly spread across continents. It serves as a stark reminder of nature's power and the profound vulnerability of human society in the face of unseen biological threats, offering vital historical context to our understanding of pandemics.
