1914: AMERICA'S WWI DILEMMA

Cinemavixion Review

This episode of Battlezone, "1914: America's WWI Dilemma," delves into a pivotal moment in American history. The narrative skillfully portrays the nation's initial detachment from the burgeoning conflict in Europe, a sentiment rooted in a century of relative peace and perceived isolation. The documentary highlights the contrast between America's internal focus on progress and prosperity and the looming global upheaval. It effectively captures the prevailing mood of the time, where the military was seen as more of a ceremonial entity than a force prepared for international engagement. The episode serves as a compelling introduction to the complex factors that would eventually draw the United States into the Great War, setting the stage for a profound transformation of its global role.
