1800 BCE: TRUE CRIME STORIES FROM ANCIENT MESOPOTAMIA

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the darker aspects of ancient Mesopotamian civilization, presenting a murder trial from approximately 1800 BCE and other grim historical accounts. The narrative is enriched by the insights of Professor Amanda Podany, an esteemed author on the ancient Near East. The program explores intriguing, albeit disturbing, practices such as kings attempting to cheat death by sacrificing gardeners disguised in royal attire. It offers a unique glimpse into the legal, social, and spiritual world of one of history's earliest complex societies.
