18 BRONZE GIRLS OF SHAOLIN

Cinemavixion Review

Lai-Yeh Chien's "18 Bronze Girls of Shaolin" plunges viewers into a world of intricate martial arts and political intrigue. The narrative centers on the notorious Chi Kong, who corrupts a Shaolin temple to train eighteen young women in a deadly kung fu style, ostensibly for nefarious government overthrow plots. The film excels in showcasing the rigorous training and the eventual rebellion of these skilled warriors against their manipulative master. While the OMDb plot summary offers a quirky, perhaps intentionally misleading, glimpse into the film's eccentricities, the core premise from the local data highlights a compelling story of betrayal and empowerment. The action sequences, characteristic of the Shaolin genre, promise a visual feast for fans of expertly choreographed combat, making this a noteworthy entry for those seeking classic martial arts cinema.
