15 SCAFFOLDS FOR A MURDERER

Cinemavixion Review

Nunzio Malasomma's 1967 Spaghetti Western, "15 Scaffolds for a Murderer" (also known as "Quince Vueltas por un Asesino"), plunges viewers into a gritty tale of revenge and survival. The film masterfully pits two rival gangs against a relentless lynch mob and a formidable sheriff, creating a tense atmosphere of impending doom. The narrative, co-written by Mario di Nardo and José Luis Bayonas, unfolds with classic Western tropes, featuring gunfights and dramatic standoffs, all while keeping the audience guessing about the ultimate resolution. Starring Craig Hill, Susy Andersen, and Aldo Sambrell, the film delivers a compelling performance, particularly in its exploration of desperation and the surprising twists that define its climax. Despite its relatively modest IMDb rating of 5.5, "15 Scaffolds for a Murderer" offers a robust cinematic experience for fans of the genre, showcasing the distinctive style and dramatic flair characteristic of Italian-Spanish Westerns from the era.
