13TH CHILD: JERSEY DEVIL FULL DOCUMENTARY

Cinemavixion Review

Dan Marro's "13th Child: Jersey Devil" delves into the chilling legend that has haunted the New Jersey Pine Barrens for three centuries. The documentary recounts the infamous tale of Mother Leeds and her thirteenth child, a grotesque birth that supposedly unleashed a winged, hoofed terror upon the local populace. The narrative, enriched by eyewitness accounts and historical speculation, paints a vivid picture of a community gripped by fear and folklore. Marro, also appearing on screen, guides the audience through the persistent whispers and alleged sightings that have kept the Jersey Devil myth alive. While the film explores the enduring power of this regional legend, it leaves the ultimate truth shrouded in the mists of the Pines, inviting viewers to ponder the line between myth and reality.
