1313: FRANKENQUEEN

Cinemavixion Review

David DeCoteau's "1313: Frankenqueen" plunges viewers into a chilling narrative of vanity and vengeance. The film masterfully crafts a sense of escalating dread as five young men find themselves ensnared in the sinister machinations of plastic surgeon Victoria Franks. What begins as a luxurious escape to Malibu transforms into a desperate fight for survival against their alluring yet homicidal hostess. The plot, rich with psychological tension, explores the dark side of beauty and the extreme lengths to which obsession can lead. While the IMDb rating suggests a challenging viewing experience for some, the film's premise and execution offer a compelling, albeit unsettling, exploration of body horror and the perils of unchecked ambition. A noteworthy, if unnerving, addition to the genre.
